Qlik has announced the initial release of QlikView version 12. This technical release converges the QlikView and Qlik Sense platforms. QlikView 12 builds on the proven success of 11.2 and includes the following:
- A common QIX engine, shared with Qlik Sense
- Security improvements – QlikView 12 has been “hardened” in order to meet the exacting security requirements of government defense departments
- Improved clustering – shared file caching
- Mobile touch improvements
- Online help file

QlikView 12 is 64bit only, but now has the same installer for Windows7/2008 and Windows 9/2012. We recommend that customers remain code current, and we suggest planning and testing an upgrade to QlikView 12 in the next 12 months.
