James Richardson | James Richardson is Business Analytics Strategist in Qlik’s Innovation and Design team.Ā Prior to joining Qlik James spent six years as a Gartner analyst covering business intelligence and analytics. During his tenure, as well as advising hundreds of organizations on BI topics, James was the lead author of the Magic Quadrant for BI Platforms and chaired and keynoted Gartner’s European BI summit. Before Gartner, James spent 13 years at BI and performance management software vendor IMRS/Arbor/Hyperion in various roles. Earlier still James worked for Sema Group developing software for industrial control systems (SCADA), and as an advertising copywriter. James was named one of the UK’s Top 50 Data Leaders by Information Age magazine in 2015. | |||
Sarah Williams | In 1996 I started my career in IT project management in the electricity industry; I went on to be a project lead for the regulatory review of electricity revenue. In 2005 I moved into the gas industry working for Wales & West Utilities as the Regulation Manager. From 2008 2013 my role included the management of the Health & Safety team, leading a comprehensive & successful Ā£1bn regulatory investment bid as well as heading up the Customer Service & Stakeholder Engagement directorate which included the Call Centre and Complaints team.
Following a mini MBA and as a qualified Price 2 Practitioner, I have been responsible for identifying and leading strategic business change including the implementation of a new company wide Business Intelligence system powered by QlikView turning millions of rows of data into actionable information in under a second. |

Chris Hansford | Chris Hansford has more than 38 years experience of working in the MOD, both in uniform and as a Civil Servant. Utilising his Asset Management Surveying, Project Management and accountancy skills and experience he has worked as an evangelist for the Defence Infrastructure Organisations on the recently implemented IBM Tririga Integrated Workplace Management System. In his new role as Head of BI Requirements and Planning Chris is using this business knowledge to good effect to provide both MoD Senior Management and DIO Functions with integrated actionable dashboards and reports using his experience with QlikView. | |||
