Differentia Consulting and Mercy Ships Expand their Relationship
This is to Include Software Support with the aim of Accelerating Improved Healthcare and Reducing Disease
London, England February 2021
Differentia Consulting is pleased to announce the expansion of their Partnership with Qlik customer, Mercy Ships, with the aim of helping to accelerate life-changing outcomes through advanced analytics.
Founded in 1978, and working in more than 55 countries, Mercy Ships uses hospital ships to deliver free, world-class healthcare services, capacity building, and sustainable development to those with little access in the developing world. While COVID-19 forced their ship to suspend direct medical services onboard the hospital ship within Africa early this past year, the Africa Mercy’s return voyage is in sight.
Mercy Ships believes that 2021 holds a transformative new promise — one of hope. A hope to celebrate changed lives. A hope to gather and share life together once more. A hope to hold friends and family close. A hope to travel and explore the world with reopened eyes. A hope to continue reaching, teaching, and providing more hope and healing to those who need it most.
Sharing those hopes, Differentia Consulting and Mercy Ships have expanded their existing Partnership to include ongoing direct support for their Qlik deployment.
Mercy Ships has been leveraging Qlik’s software to manage and attain insights into their data for several years. In their dynamic HR reporting, for example, they use Qlik’s ability to drill down into varying demographics to understand their world through dashboards translating into more volunteers and a more highly engaged staff, which ultimately helps them to deliver more effective programmes – helping more people.
Differentia Consulting and Mercy Ships
“Mercy Ships is an incredible organisation that is made even more special by its dedicated people – staff and volunteers alike. Led by my colleague Andrew McIlwrick, Qlik Luminary, we were already seeing tremendous results through our software development engagement. I’m thrilled that Differentia Consulting has now also become an official first line support provider to Mercy Ships, offering additional technical expertise and guidance to Cory and the fantastic ‘behind the scenes’ team as they continue their mission of improving healthcare, and reducing disease in developing countries.” Donna Hopkins, Head of Customer Care, Differentia Consulting
“Thank you to Differentia Consulting for agreeing to become our first line of support for Qlik support cases and taking this on at no cost to Mercy Ships. The Differentia team has been a dream partner and we couldn’t ask for more. Looking forward to a long and fruitful partnership between Mercy Ships and Differentia Consulting.” Cory Creamer, Data Services Manager, Mercy Ships
And this year holds another exciting opportunity — the maiden voyage of the Global Mercy™.
The newest addition to Mercy Ships fleet has spent the past few months undergoing finishing touches in preparation for her first launch. The Global Mercy™ will house 6 operating rooms and 199 patient beds, while a state-of-the-art simulation lab will allow them to expand their training capabilities in an unprecedented way — empowering local medical professionals to learn the best practices for surgical treatment in low-resource environments.
